19-Feb-1979 - 21-May-2025
It is with profound sorrow that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend Jason Joseph Teskey on May 21, 2025, at the age of 46.
Jason was born in Edmonton and spent most of his life in St. Albert. His career path was varied, taking him across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. He began as a Conservation Officer and worked with Brinks, but it was his time with CN that marked the most significant chapter of his career, before his most recent role in machine tool service as a technician. For Jason, these roles were never just about the work; they were always about the connections he made with the people he met, fostering friendships that endured long after his career paths shifted.
He will be deeply missed by his parents, Margaret (Peggy) and Calvin Teskey; his sister, Jaylene Black, and her husband Christopher; his cherished nephews, Alexander and Carson Black. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Patrick Black along with lifelong friend, Chris V (Delacey), long time roommate Dion and friends who became family, Abraham (Annie) and Christopher J and countless other cherished family, friends and colleagues.
Jason's passions were as diverse as his spirit. In his school days, he loved playing baseball and hockey. As an adult, he found excitement in the worlds of Call of Duty and Warhammer, especially during the colder months when he couldn't pursue his true passion for the outdoors. His greatest joy, however, was always found in nature—particularly during fishing and camping trips with his family to the Crowsnest, and at "The Cabin" where he enjoyed using his Sea-Doo and fishing off the dock. An outdoorsman by nature, he possessed a quick wit and an insatiable curiosity.
Jason will always be remembered for the way he showed up, the way he cared, and the way he made everyone feel seen and valued.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Evergreen Memorial (16204 Fort Road, Edmonton, AB) on June 12, 2025 at 2:00pm. To share photos, memories and condolences visit https://www.arbormemorial.ca/en/evergreen/obituaries/jason-joseph-teskey/142384.html
