It is with great sadness the family of Mrs. Terry O’Neill (née Smith) of St. Albert announces her passing on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the age of 90.
Terry will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Shirlee-Mae, Michael (Jacqueline), Timothy (Karen), Patricia (Don), Dennis (Nicole); her nine grandchildren: Blythe (Dave), Brooke, Jennifer, Ashley, Brock (Alyce), Siobhan, Teige, Ireland and Fallon; four great-grandchildren: Liam, John, Tess and Arwyn.
She is predeceased by her husband, Michael; son-in-law, John; parents, Mae and Bill Smith; sisters: Pat Davis, Joan Gauf and Shirley Smith.
Mom was born and raised in Edmonton and moved to St. Albert in 1962 where Dad and she built the home of their dreams and filled it with love and joy. Family was everything to Mom, so Christmas, holidays and birthdays were all celebrated around her dining room table or at “the lake”, where the food was delicious, and the laughter was plentiful. Mom was an avid baker, and we will miss her cakes and cookies, but mostly we will miss her smile. We thank her for her hard work, her determination to make things better for her family, and for her love. May she rest in eternal peace with Dad knowing they were loved beyond measure.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Lam and the healthcare professionals on Unit 28 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
A private family interment will be held at a later date.
