It is with profound sadness that the family of Helena Reimer Schmitt announce her passing into the arms of her Heavenly Father on July 18, 2022, at the age of 82.
She leaves behind three grieving children: Waldo (Marlene), Linda and Lydia (Bryan); seven grandchildren: Megan, Nathan, Jestin, Joshua, Jonathan, Andrew, and Teresa; three siblings: Abe (Sarah), Corni (Barb) and Maria; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
We would like to thank the Harmony Haven staff at West Country Hearth for their incredibly loving care to our beloved mom, and the palliative team at University of Alberta Hospital.
A Celebration of Helena’s Life will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2022. Details to be updated on the Connelly-McKinley website closer to the date.
Go with God now sweet mom, your race is done. You have accomplished more than you ever knew, and you will be forever loved, cherished and missed.
