1941 – 2022
Jean passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 23, 2022 after a lengthy battle with various cancers.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ken; children: Brent, Kevin (Jodie), Kyle (Shelley) and Cameron; 7 grand children; Uncle Ken Head and many cherished cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Kent; grandson, Caelin; and her parents, George and Margaret.
Jean was a teacher by profession and later a career counselor at Concordia University. She enjoyed travelling with friends and family, particularly to Hawaii. She also especially enjoyed family dinner game nights, her various bridge clubs, and community contributions.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (We Cross Cancer campaign). The family wishes to send a special thank you to the many doctors, home and hospice care staff for their compassionate care. Interment will be announced at a later time.
