December 9, 1937 - February 10, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Kathleen Pich announce her passing in the early morning on February 10, 2025 at the age of 87.
Born in 1937 to farming parents, Mollie and Herbert Scott, at Innisfail, Alberta. Kathy was number four in a family of five. She attended a county school until grade nine, then to Red Deer where she graduated from Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School. She graduated from Nursing at the Edmonton General Hospital in 1958.
Kathleen married Michael Pich in 1963. They were blessed to have three sons and one daughter. Their oldest son Dean, died at age four in 1968. Kathy is survived by twin sons, Garrett and Kelly; daughter, Tamara Yeung; son-in-law, Andrew Yeung; granddaughter, Kira Kathleen Yeung married to Brandon Croteau. During her nursing career she worked at Edmonton General Hospital, The Red Deer Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto and Edmonton’s Charles Camsell. Kathy retired from nursing at the Misericordia Hospital in 1995. Kathy was an active member in St. Albert United Church, keen birdwatcher and quilter.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the St. Albert United Church, 20 Green Grove Drive, St. Albert, Alberta.
Cremation has taken place.
