Paquette, Leo cropped 1

With great sadness the family of Leo Joseph Paquette announce his passing surrounded by family on August 19, 2022.

For this terrific husband and father, your concerns are over, rest your head. Sunny harvest weather is around the bend. You’ve enjoyed watching your family grow and visits from your closest friends to the end. You’ve had faith in the Father and lending a helping hand to those in need while being looked up to by those close to you indeed. You may place your shovel along side the fence now and know your name as good man has been won. We will join with you one day, your work here on earth is done.

Leo was born on July 29th 1936 and married his loving wife Evelyn of 55 years in the summer of 1967. He soon became the third-generation farmer on his family’s farm in Calahoo, AB. Leo took pride in raising his five boys Jason (Pam), Randy (Shannon), Brian, Shane (Kathy), Shaun (Amanda) leading by example conveying the true value of contributing to lasting friendships, honesty and taking pride in making hay while the sun shines. Leo will be dearly missed by his 4 loving grandchildren, Carson, Clayton, Blake and Peyton. Leo will fondly be remembered by his brother Armand and sisters Pauline and Alice. Leo was predeceased by his brothers Omer, Adelard, sisters Fernand, Lucienne, Theresa, Annette, Merie (Jeanne) Cecile, and Yvonne.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Albert Catholic Church, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert. Interment in St. Albert Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it’s the family’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of donations to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
