Major (Retired) Canadian Armed Forces, Logistics and initially, the RCOC. Served April 1962 - April 1995. Commissioned to Captain from CWO May 1980.
Passed away from lung cancer at the Sturgeon Hospital in St. Albert, Alberta on November 15, 2024 at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by his wife Barbara Beth McCallum (nee Jackson) and his parents Ernest and Mary McCallum (nee Renwick). He leaves behind a brother and four sisters and his children; Traci Jackson, Tammy Black (Ken), Charlie McCallum (Chrysta Rae), Bonnie Jespersen (Dave), and Robert McCallum, and grandchildren Jessica, Levi, Seth, Bailee, Ivan, Dane, Hudson, Tyson and Grayden and great grandchild Iyla.
Cremation has taken place and he will join his wife in their niche in a columbarium in the Gibbons Memorial Gardens Cemetery in a private ceremony. By request there will be no service. For those so moved, donations to the Cancer Foundation or the Salvation Army in Canada may be made.
