It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Geraldine (Gerry) Winifred MacLeod, aged 88, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on April 25, 2025, at Citadel Long Term Care, St. Albert.

Gerry was born on March 17, 1937, to William and Annie Stevenson, in Regina, SK, and was the youngest of eight siblings. On June 22,1957, Gerry married Gordon (Gord) Neil MacLeod, in Regina, and together they had two children, Neil Gordon Macleod and Kerri-Lynn MacLeod.

For 67 years Gerry and Gord shared a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Their bond was a testament to the power of companionship and enduring love. Gerry was a cherished wife, and her presence brought immense joy to Gord's life.

When Gerry entered retirement, it afforded her more opportunities to spend quality time with her grandchildren, Ashley Kate MacLeod and Samuel Stevenson MacLeod. She dedicated her life to her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

Her transition to retirement also enabled her and Gord to further enjoy their shared passion for travel. The journeys undertaken by Gerry and Gord extended beyond mere sightseeing, focusing on the creation of enduring memories with friends and family. They particularly enjoyed spending their winters down south in their trailer and discovering new destinations. She always looked forward to road trips and an exciting new adventure.

The family would like to offer their appreciation to the Citadel Long Term Care and Sturgeon Hospital staff for the comfort and care they provided Gerry in her final years.

A Celebration of Life for Geraldine MacLeod will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 22, 2025, in the St. Albert Seniors Center, Red Willow Place, 7 Tache St., St. Albert, AB, T8N 2S3.
