In Loving Memory of a Cherished Mother - Celebrating a Life Well Lived

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Dorothy (Dodie) Kimball, at 94 years young. She was a beacon of love, wisdom, and strength, to all who loved her.

Born in Wisconsin, she married the love of her life, Jim, in 1954. Mom and dad brought the family to St. Albert in 1967.  She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Throughout her life she touched the hearts of many with her generosity and compassion.

Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Bob) Aldrich, son Bill (Sandra), daughter-in-law Wendy.  Nine grandchildren, Josh (Fiona), Sarah (Shawn), Jacob (Kaileigh) Aldrich; Robyn (Rob) Moore, Ryan (Sara), Michael Kimball; Christopher (Ashley), Addie and Walker Kimball.  Seven great-grandchildren, all of whom, were the light of her life.

Mom is now joyously reunited with her husband Jim, sons Bob, Dan and granddaughter Amy.

Mom had a creative flair for gardening, painting and sewing.  She also enjoyed wintering in Florida and summers at the family cabin.

In her final years, she was surrounded by the love and care of her family, who cherished every moment spent with her. Her indomitable spirit and enduring love will remain with us forever.

We would, also, like to acknowledge and thank Unit 2 of the St. Albert Youville Home

for the care and compassion, she received in her last year.

As per mom’s request a small family gathering will be held at a later date.
