1943 – 2025

 

On March 11, 2025 Zsuzsa/Susann Juhasz passed away at Youville Home in St. Albert, Alberta at the age of 82 years. She was a resident of Youville Home for just over two years.  

 

Zsuzsa was predeceased by her parents, Vilma Rebman and Mihaly Varg; husband, Julius; and her two brothers, Miklos and Tibor.

 

Zsuzsa was born in Budapest, Hungary on January 23, 1943.  She graduated as a dietitian nurse and worked for many years at a hospital in Budapest.  She immigrated to Edmonton in 1973 where she married Julius Juhasz. Zsuzsa and Gyula (Julius) owned Alberta Upholstery in Edmonton.  

 

Zsuzsa became a Canadian citizen in June 1977.  She was an active member of the Hungarian House.  She loved to travel and visited many countries throughout her lifetime.  She would travel back to Budapest yearly to visit her family and friends.  Zsuzsa had a great love for dogs.  She also enjoyed gardening.

 

Many thanks to the doctors, nurses, homecare staff and her friend Arlene who cared for Zsuzsa.

 

Memorial donations may be made in Zsuza's name to the Edmonton Humane Society.

 

A service in memory of Zsuzsa will be held at St. Emeric Catholic Church (Hungarian), 12960 - 112 St., Edmonton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29th.
