It is with great sadness that the family of Harold David Ives announces his passing but is rejoicing that he has gone to be with the Lord on December 13, 2022 at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 83.
Harold was born in New Sarepta, Alberta to parents Beatrice and Charles Ives on November 19, 1939. He leaves to mourn; his children Catherine (Paw) of Sherwood Park, Colin (Maelynn) of Sturgeon County, Richard of Edmonton, Jane Nixon of Baton Rouge, and Noel (Haley) of St. Albert; eleven grandchildren; sister Inez Holt of Red Deer, brother Francis (Maureen) of Calgary, as well as many other relatives and friends. Harold loved birding and scrabble, which he enjoyed playing with his children throughout his life. Harold was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Ellen Wilton Ives; parents Beatrice and Charles Ives; brothers Eric, Johnny, and Billy Ives; sisters Mary Gwaltney and Irene Ives.
He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those whose lives he touched.
