1929 – 2025

 

It is with great sadness that the family of Andrew Orrest Harris of St. Albert

announce his passing on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the age of 95 years.

 

Andrew will be remembered by his loving wife of 65 years, Ardelle; children: Evan

(Sandra), Tanys (David), and Collin (Robin); grandchildren: Laura (Stephen),

Geoffrey, Sarah (Kaylei), Caitlyn; great-grandchild: Sebastian; siblings: Elsie,

William, Norman, Tony (Sharon), Eddie and numerous other family members and

friends.

 

Andrew was predeceased by his parents, George and Mary; siblings, Aaron,

Victoria, Lee, Anne and infant twin sisters.

 

Andrew was born in Endeavour, Saskatchewan on March 27, 1929 to George and

Mary. He met the love of his life and best friend, Ardelle Lischynski and married in

1959. Andrew received his degree in Education at the University of Saskatchewan,

initially working in Canora before moving to Medicine Hat, Alberta in 1962 where

he taught for the rest of his career. He was a devoted husband and father as well

as a man of many passions including photography, woodworking, architecture,

music, wine making, gardening, travel, and later on in life, his grandchildren.

 

A Celebration of Andrew’s life will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 10:00 am

in Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert. 

 

An interment will follow at Northern Lights Cemetery, 15203 Campbell Road, NW, Edmonton,

Alberta.
