It is with great sadness the family of Ruth Arlene Green (nee: Busby) announce her peaceful passing on August 9, 2022 at the age of 69 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Tony; children: Kelly, Brandee (Hugo) and Jonathan (Kim); 9 grandchildren: Morgan, Carter, Hayden, Oceanne, Melodie, Logan, Avery, Cohen and Maya; siblings: Al (Steph), Sharon (JP), Ken (Judie), Roger (Marion) and Joan (Don); as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her sister (Linda) and parents (Alexander & Doris Busby).
Ruth was a retired laboratory assistant in breast cancer research at the University of Alberta. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, travelling with family & friends, spending time with her grandkids, gardening and practicing Tai Chi.
She will be fondly remembered for her amazing culinary skills, her love of music and her beautifully unapologetic approach to life. She will be truly missed but her legacy will live on for generations.
Her Celebration of Life will be held on September 5, 2022 at the Pioneer Cabin (9430 99 Scona Rd NW) at 2pm.
