Elaine Sword, 73 years of age, peacefully passed away on September 22, 2019 at Foyer Lacombe in St. Albert, with family at her side, after a 6 year battle with cancer. Elaine is the beloved wife of Mervyn Sword, beloved mother of Murray (Pam), Scott (Salimah), Kim (Kerri) and cherished grandmother of Kaylee, Zachary and Benjamin. She loved her family and instilled in her sons and grandchildren strong values that continue to serve them well.
Elaine is survived by her dear siblings Keith, Wayne, Louise, Albert and John and remembered by her nieces and nephews. She was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, leaving all with fond memories.
Funeral services and a celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at 10 am on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Road North Edmonton, with an interment and reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elaine’s name may be made to Victory Life Church of St. Albert.
