We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother Juliette on January 19, 2023, at the age of 99 years.

She will be forever remembered by daughters, Michele (Fred) Bauer, Jocelyne

(Gerard) Forget, Adele Cordell and her sons Gilbert (Ameeta) and Philip (Helen);

and eight grandchildren: Laura Maile, Curtis Bauer, Monique Hrushka, Shelley

Forget, Adrienne Bishop, Lena Cordell, Darcy Cordell, and Alexander Cordell; as

well as 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Juliette also

leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law Colette Fetaz and Phyllis Cordel and extended

family of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Juliette was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Raymond. She was the last

of her immediate Fetaz family: parents Albert and Laura Fetaz and brothers

Lucien, Bernard, and Armand.

Juliette grew up in the French farming community of Apremont, north of Halkirk

Alberta. She graduated from Normal School (U of A) to become a teacher during

WWII. She resided in St. Albert for 48 years and in Fairview, Athabasca, Peace

River, and Edmonton.

The family is grateful to the 2nd floor staff at Schonsee Lifestyle Options for the

care provided to Juliette for 3 ½ years, and especially during the difficult years of

Covid. And we’re so grateful for the care shown to our mom in the remaining

days of her life at Foyer Lacombe Hospice in St. Albert.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on January 27, at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert. Placement of her ashes will follow later at the HolyCross Mausoleum, Edmonton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to the Alzheimer

Society of Alberta and Northwest Territory.
