1956-2022
Greg suddenly unexpectedly was taken from us on August 18th 2022. Gregory Ronald Bucknell was born December 25,1956 in Winnipeg Manitoba, to Anne Schultz and Ronald Bucknell. Gregory grew up in Steinbach/Brooklands Manitoba with his two sisters Caroline and Colleen.
Greg met the love of his life, Karen, in August 2003, it was truly a whirlwind romance. They got engaged after 3 months and set the date. Greg and Karen married on August 21, 2004. Greg is survived by his wife, Karen Bucknell; and 6 children: Travis (Amanda), Tammy, Jenette, Meghan (Cody), Terran, Brittany (Derek); and his 8 grandchildren: Mckenna, Cheyenne, Mayla, Brielle, Rhyilan, Kenzley, Remi, and Eli.
Greg is predeceased by his father, Ronald Bucknell; and many aunts and uncles.
Greg was larger than life, he lived his life to the fullest. Would help anyone in any situation. Greg would give the shirt off his back...if he was wearing one! Everywhere Greg went he made friends with everyone he met. He was respected by his coworkers, a true friend to many, a great mentor, proud Papa, mechanic, a jack of all trades- there was nothing he couldn't fix or repair. He was the happiest restoring his 52 Chev. Greg loved to go camping and travel the world and experience everything it had to offer. He loved to eat, especially his perogies & Mac n’ Cheese. He loved to cook for his family but could never master pancakes. He sure gave it his all! His infectious laugh could be heard everywhere. If you were in a bad mood, after talking with Greg you were lifted by his positive attitude and his desire to make sure everyone was OK. Sundays were Greg's day to watch Nascar with a glass of beer and snacks in hand.
We have all learnt from Greg to appreciate life and appreciate others. He was a selfless individual.
If love could have saved you, you would of have lived forever.
