MEXICO CITY (AP) — Tongolele, the iconic American dancer who transformed the nightlife scene in mid-20th century Mexico City with her hip movements to the sound of drums, has died at the age of 93.

William Ray Lucas, who led the NASA facility that shouldered much of the blame for the 1986 explosion of the space shuttle Challenger, has died. Lucas was 102.

TORONTO — Wally Gabler, who spent five of his seven CFL seasons as a quarterback with the Toronto Argonauts, has died. He was 80. The Argos formally announced Gabler's death Thursday. The cause was not given.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Florida state Sen. Geraldine Thompson died Thursday following complications from knee replacement surgery, her family said. She was 76. The Orlando-area Democrat had served in the Florida Legislature since 2006.
