Make a difference in the lives of others and help to raise awareness of organ donation while volunteering at this family-friendly event, Sunday, Sept. 26 at Lions Park in St. Albert. Volunteers needed for the registration table, food and beverage services, entertainment host, set-up, clean-up and course marshals.

Are you bilingual, fluent in French and English and enjoy working with children? Help youth with homework in the French language on Thursday evenings throughout the school year.

Do you enjoy working on the telephone? Help this organization to get the word out about their upcoming gala event, which takes place Oct. 1.

Are you patient, friendly and enjoy working with children? Assist in this preschool setting with reading, play time, crafts and snacks with the children. Make a difference in the life of a child while helping this local organization.

Calling painters, sculptors, woodcarvers, florists, musicians, singers, photographers, actors, and other artists to share your talents with students during this school’s Alberta Arts Day on Sept. 17. Amateurs or professionals are welcome and can either have a display already made or could be actively working on a project during the event. No formal presentation is required, just a willingness to set up, be creative and answer questions from students.

Habitat for Humanity is currently building in Edmonton and Stony Plain and needs your help. This is a great opportunity to get involved, learn new skills and work in a team. Skill range can be anything from beginner to trained trades people. Orientation and training will be provided for all. Sign up as an individual or as part of a group. Join and experience the satisfaction that comes from lending your hands and heart to a family in need.

Help to keep the good work and memory of Terry Fox alive and volunteer at this annual volunteer-led event, Sunday, Sept. 19. Assist with registration, pledge table, course monitoring, or set-up and take down.

Be surrounded by supportive and hopeful individuals — serve on the Harvest of Hope committee and help to prepare for the event doing duties such as picking up auction items, helping to sell tickets or marketing the event. Alternatively, you can assist with setting up the venue and event day activities, Friday, Sept. 24.
