Be a part of this fun festival that inspires and ignites the imaginations of the young and young at heart. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and have fun at an event that is a feast for the senses and an inspiration for the imagination. Assist as an activity assistant to do face painting, act as an information guide, usher, driver, do crafts with children or volunteer as a team leader and take on a co-ordination role. Volunteer and share this magical experience with more than 55,000 children and families. Festival runs June 1 to 5 in St. Albert.
This 12-hour overnight event is coming to St. Albert for the first time on Saturday, June 12 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Be a part of this fun and inspirational event as everyone comes together to fight cancer. Shifts are available to do registration, survivor reception, children’s activities, entertainment, food services, luminary set-up, ceremony and many other areas.
Drivers needed to provide courteous, helpful and friendly transportation service to seniors and persons with disabilities who have no other means of attending a medical appointment in St. Albert and Edmonton. Your vehicle needs to be able to accommodate a wheelchair or walker and you must be able to lift the item into the vehicle. You will not be required to lift or transfer the client. You can choose to accept assignments depending on your schedule and availability.
This program is a weekend retreat for teens aged 13 to 17 years that have a parent living with MS. Program needs enthusiastic male volunteers to accompany staff and teen participants for a weekend retreat to Gull Lake, May 28 to 30 where you will assist in outdoor recreation activities and food preparation. Volunteer must be a minimum of 18 years of age, energetic, enjoy working with youth and willing to have fun.
Help this seniors’ centre to provide support and fellowship to the seniors in our community by volunteering to help in its kitchen. Duties include assisting with food preparation, food service, supplies ordering and purchasing and inventory counts. Volunteer once a week during the day or more often if you’d like.
Do you have a cheerful and pleasant telephone manner? Help this organization make phone calls to other St. Albert groups inviting them to a series of information meetings about an exciting event planned as part of the St. Albert 150th anniversary celebrations. This is a short-term project and can be done from your own home or the organization’s office.
