Help this organization help homeless people and those at risk of becoming homeless at this one day, one location event on Sunday, May 9. At this event, you will help others to provide a range of services to the individuals by volunteering in one of several roles such as greeters, registration or guides. Assistance is also needed in the weeks prior to the event sorting and organizing items for comfort kits to hand out to the guests at the event. Be a part of this transformational day and make a difference in your own life while making a difference in someone else’s.

Help this seniors’ centre provide support and fellowship to the seniors in our community by volunteering to help in their kitchen. Duties include assisting with food preparation, food service, ordering and purchasing supplies and inventory counts. Volunteer once a week during the day or more often if you’d like.

This organization is celebrating 100 years of helping those in need and is holding an annual dinner and auction on Saturday, May 8 in the evening. Help out at this event providing assistance at the reception table, greeting and ushering people to their seats, helping as a silent auction usher or general assistance with clean up etc.

Do you have a cheerful and pleasant telephone manner? Help this organization make phone calls to other St. Albert organizations, inviting them to a series of information meetings about an exciting event planned as part of the St. Albert 150th anniversary celebrations. This is a short-term project and can be done from your own home or the organization’s office.

Volunteer at this event and bring a lifetime of difference to those living with MS. The event happens June 12 and 13 with the race starting in Nisku and finishing day one in Camrose, then finishing day two back in Nisku. Assist with start line activities, checkpoints along the tour route, lunches, dinner/dance in Camrose or finish line activities. Qualified massage therapists are also needed.

Do you have some time to share each week with an individual in need of some companionship? Share your gift of listening and good conversation as you visit clients in their homes. Choose from one of the following one-on-one opportunities or many others as well — a weekly afternoon visit with a senior who enjoys conversation and playing crib or a weekly afternoon visit with an senior who enjoys hobbies such as puzzles and playing cards.
