Want to have some fun while helping to raise money for a great cause? Then volunteer with this organization that sells bright yellow daffodils to help raise money to support the fight against cancer. This new organization needs assistance with office management and implementing a system with some structure for their small office. A volunteer will be working alongside the chairperson and training that person about office procedures. A mature individual is needed, someone who is organized, skilled at standard filing, knowledgeable about office procedures and possesses clear and concise communication skills. Commitment is on Thursday mornings, with this short-term project lasting a couple of months and a possibility of extension beyond that.

Give back by helping this organization serve meals to people in need. Breakfast is prepared and served Friday mornings, 6:30 to 9 a.m. As well, every second Friday a lunch is prepared and served to 55-plus clients; volunteers needed 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Some set up and clean up is involved; food handling experience would be an asset, but not necessary. Volunteer to help with both meals or one of them.

Caring, dedicated and mature people are needed to provide front-line support, information and referrals to victims, families and others affected by crime or tragedy. Help this organization to help others in a time of crisis. Volunteer should have the capability to work with the RCMP as well as have the availability to work evening shifts and be on call for some weekend shifts.
