If you enjoy reading books, are patient and organized, and would enjoy bringing that pleasure to others in our community, this opportunity will interest you. In this role, you will provide outreach library services to seniors and/or persons with disabilities, who are unable to visit the library themselves. You will determine the homebound individual’s preferences for library materials, then select, deliver and return library materials for them.
Are you friendly and compassionate and have a desire to help seniors? Using your own vehicle, provide transportation for seniors to healthcare and other appointments. You will receive reimbursement for gas costs. Valid vehicle registration, insurance and a clear driver’s abstract are required. Times and areas are flexible.
Habitat for Humanity has started the build at Aurora Place and needs you. This is a great opportunity to get involved in our community, learn new skills, work in a team and contribute to the future home of a local family. Skill range can be anything from beginner to trained trades people. Orientation and training will be provided for all. Sign up as an individual or as part of a group. Join and experience the satisfaction that comes from lending your hands and heart to a family in need.

Do you have good communication skills and office administration skills? Help this local organization with administrative work such as telephone work, data entry and database administration, filing, mail-outs, computer work and other basic administrative duties as assigned.
Do you have intermediate alpine skiing or snowboarding skills? Help people with disabilities to live richer and fuller lives by sharing those skills and providing ski or snowboard instruction to these individuals. Lessons are Wednesday evenings at Rabbit Hill, during an eight-week Learn to Ski program from Jan. 11 to March 7.
Help those in need to feed their family this Christmas. Help by giving them more than a meal but also a Christmas with hope and dignity. Assist this organization, which helps those in need, by providing office support during the weekdays or assisting with accepting donations and providing information all days of the week. Four-hour shifts are available. This is a short-term project, effectively immediately until mid-December.
