Caring, dedicated and mature people are needed to provide front line support, information and referrals to victims, families and others affected by crime or tragedy. Help this organization to help others in a time of crisis. Volunteers will receive extensive training and should have the capability to work with the RCMP as well as have the availability to work evening shifts and be on call for some weekend shifts.

This St. Albert organization is a thriving, non-profit family resource centre that provides resources and support to families in the community to help strengthen them. Intergenerational board members are needed to assist in setting the future of the organization by developing framework policy and strategic direction. You should be willing to sit on committees or participate in special projects. Minimum age is 16 years.

Do you enjoy working with children and youth? Make a difference in a young person’s life and volunteer to be a soccer coach. There are lots of age groups to choose from. Coach four-year-olds where your main role is to coax and encourage the beginners in the game or work with other age groups right through to the older teens. The outdoor season runs April through June. Coach courses and training are offered and available, but not mandatory.

Be a part of the Relay For Life and help celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and find a cure for the disease. The St. Albert event takes place June 11 but volunteers are currently needed for project work leading up to the event and to assist in organizing the event. Help show St. Albert’s community spirit by lending a hand to this major event.

Do you enjoy spending time with seniors and socializing? Assist this Edmonton organization with day programs for seniors. Daily activities include playing cards, board games, doing puzzles and visiting.

Be a part of this family-oriented, community-supported event that makes a difference in the lives of Canadians living with multiple sclerosis. This one-day event to fundraise for MS will be held at Millennium Park in St. Albert on May 1. Walk volunteers are needed to assist with the following areas: set up and clean up, checkpoints along walk route, food area, and cheering participants on as they cross the finish line. Volunteer as an individual, group or as a family.

Put your loud, clear speaking voice to work in this volunteer position as you call bingo numbers for a small group of seniors in this St. Albert facility. The commitment is every Friday afternoon for a couple of hours. Come out and have some fun with this group.
