Villeneuve Road west of Dennison Drive will be closed this weekend so construction crews can complete necessary paving work, the city says.
“The roundabout at Dennison will remain open, permitting connectivity between Jensen Lakes and Deer Ridge,” the city's website states. “Access to the commercial areas west of the roundabout will be from the west only.”
“Drivers are encouraged to follow all detour signage onsite or plan alternate routes.”
With work getting underway last year, the city is currently spending upwards of $15 million on redesigning and improving Villeneuve Road. The spending will allow the city to install multi-use trails, sidewalks, streetlights, and improved drainage along the road.
The first phase of construction is set to be completed this weekend after paving is complete, and the next phase of construction is planned to occur and be completed in 2025-2026.
