RCMP has charged two men with indecent acts after separate and unrelated investigations by RCMP this summer.

An incident involving a man who was approaching people in a “partially clothed state” was first reported to RCMP on June 3. Around midnight, a man had taken off his clothes in the parking lot of Original Joe’s Restaurant & Bar. When police arrived the man was no longer there.

On June 22, RCMP received a report that a man had allegedly exposed his genitals to a 15-year-old girl near Earl’s Kitchen and Bar. That same night, a second report came in that a man naked from the waist down was running through the parking lot at Original Joe’s.

After a lengthy police investigation, a 44-year-old Edmonton man was arrested and was charged with two counts of an indecent act, one count of exposure to a person under 16 years of age and three counts of causing a disturbance.

The man has been released on cash bail and is scheduled to appear in St. Albert Provincial Court on Aug. 8, 2016.

In a separate, unrelated incident on July 15, RCMP officers were called to the Dollarama Store on Bellerose Drive following a report of a man allegedly exposing his genitals.

The 34-year-old Edmonton man was arrested and charged with one count of an indecent act. He is scheduled to appear in St. Albert court on Sept. 19.
