St. Albert well represented in Canada’s Four Nations Face-Off victory

Team Canada wins the Four Nations Face Off after beating team USA 3-2 in overtime.

Former St. Albert minor hockey player Colton Parayko won gold representing Canada at the Four Nations Faceoff.

Parakyo, who plays defence for the St. Louis Blues, played a key part in Canada’s overtime win over the United States, logging a valuable 17 minutes, and 49 seconds of ice time in the win.

Parakyo played in all four of Canada’s games in the tournament, compiling six shots on goal in the tournament.

He also tallied five penalty minutes for a fight against J.T Miller in Canada’s first game against the United States this past Saturday.

Canada finished the Four Nations tournament with a record of 1-1-0-2, avenging their only loss to the Americans in the Championship game.
