St. Albert weather: The calm after the storm

The north 20 km/h wind is expected ease off later this morning. Today’s high is expected to be -7 C with a wind chill of -17 this morning and -10 in the afternoon.

A 30 per cent chance of flurries remains after the wind storm that blew through St. Albert yesterday.

Currently it’s -10.1 C at the Villeneuve weather station with the wind making it feel more like -15 C, according to Environment Canada.

The north 20 km/h wind is expected ease off later this morning. Today’s high is expected to be -7 C with a wind chill of -17 C this morning and -10 C in the afternoon.

The 30 per cent chance of flurries will persist through the lunch hour with periods of light snow lasting until the late evening. The overnight low will plummet to -22 C with a wind chill of -17 C in the evening and -27 C overnight.

Temperatures are expected to stay low for the weekend, with some relief coming at the beginning of the next work week.
