Autumn appears to have arrived, but summer isn’t finished with September yet.
Currently it’s overcast and 11 C with a light air of 8 km/h out of the southeast at Villeneuve weather station.
The Environment Canada forecast is wet for the rest of the week, but sunny Saturday and Sunday.
The mainly cloud conditions and/or overcast that have a grip on Wednesday morning are expected to remain all night. The wind is expected to pick up to a breeze of 20 km/h with gusts of 40 km/h between 3 and 8 p.m.
A 20 per cent chance of precipitation starting at 6 p.m. jumps to an 80 per cent chance of showers at midnight, with the wind calmed to 10 km/h.
Wednesday’s temperature is expected to climb to just 18 C before starting a steady descent that will take it to a very fall-esque 9 C by 9 a.m. Thursday. Rain is expected Thursday and Friday, with highs of 15 C and 17 C respectively.
The sun will return for the weekend, when the festivities at the 2024 Canadian Country Music Awards really pick up next door in Edmonton.
Environment Canada expects highs of 20 C, 19 C and 18 C before the temperature dips again and the rain returns next Tuesday.
