The St. Albert RCMP is looking to return a "large sum of money" to the rightful owner after the sum was turned in last month.
“On February 21, 2023, a large sum of money was found and turned over to the St. Albert RCMP. St. Albert RCMP hope to find and return the funds to the rightful owner,” RCMP said in a March 2 press release.
“If you have lost a large sum of money in the last week or so, you are asked to contact St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700. You will be required to provide the amount and a description of how the money was kept, to prove ownership.”
If the money isn't claimed within 60 days, it will either be returned to the individual who found it, or destroyed, the release says.
