Sixteen more people in St. Albert were diagnosed with COVID-19 on Friday, while another 10 people recovered overnight.
On Friday, the province released new data showing St. Albert's active cases climbing by six, up from 141 on Tuesday to 147 on Friday.
Sturgeon County now has 59 active cases of COVID-19 recorded, up from 52 on Thursday, an increase of seven.
Morinville continues to climb, adding another seven active cases overnight, up from 28 on Thursday to 35 on Friday.
Across Alberta, another 1,521 cases were diagnosed overnight, with two additional deaths, bringing the amount of Albertans who have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic began to 2,007. Six hundred seventy-four of the new cases are variants.
Overnight, 15,611 tests were run with a positivity rate of 9.7 per cent.
There are currently 333 people in the hospital and 83 in intensive care with COVID-19.
There are currently 13,059 active cases in the province and 779,817 vaccines distributed as of April 7.
