Hockey fans all over St. Albert will be looking forward to Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final. The Edmonton Oilers took Game 1 against the Florida Panthers by a score of 4-3, with Leon Draisaitl scoring the overtime winner.

While various bars and restaurants around the city are hosting their own watch parties, families around St. Albert can tune in on the big screen at Servus Place, following a city council vote late last month to host outdoor watch parties of the city's own.

The viewing area in the southwest Servus Credit Union Place parking lot opens at 5:00 p.m., with puck drop scheduled to take place an hour later. The event is free to attend. With limited parking, the event's web page recommends carpooling, walking, biking, or park and ride.

Park and ride for each game is being offered from the Naki Transit Centre. Buses will run every 15 minutes starting one hour before the game, and continue for one hour after the game.
