Morinville RCMP are asking for help from the public to help determine who assaulted a man near Calahoo Monday.
The young man showed up at the doorstep of a Calahoo-area home on Monday morning. He was severely injured from an apparent assault.
Staff Sgt. Mac Richards, head of the Morinville detachment, said police don’t currently know how the man ended up there or how he was assaulted.
“He just showed up at the doorstep.”
Richards said the man was unknown to the people who opened the door to him and officers are trying to determine how he got there and how he got hurt.
The man was taken to hospital because of his injuries. Richards said the police would like to learn a little bit more about how he sustained them.

Richards said the man would have left an impression on anyone who happened to see him.
“He should have stood out; he was only wearing underwear apparently.”
