A sketch has been released of a home invasion suspect from an incident in Morinville on Saturday, Oct. 29.
At around 6:50 p.m. the Morinville RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion on 97 Ave. in Morinville where the homeowner was assaulted with a weapon.
The male suspect entered the residence through an unlocked front door. The homeowner confronted the man and was then assaulted. The homeowner did not know the suspect.
The man fled from the residence on foot or in a vehicle waiting nearby. He did not make any demands and did not take anything from the residence before he fled. The suspect’s intentions are unknown.
The suspect is described as being a black male, between the ages of 18 and his early 20s. He has a thin build and stands at approximately five-feet, eight-inches. He was wearing blue jeans, a grey hoodie with the hood up and black gloves.
On Dec. 17, 2016 at approximately 6:30 p.m. Morinville RCMP and Emergency services responded to a serious three vehicle collision on Highway 28 at the intersection of Township Road 572 in Sturgeon County.
Four people were injured and transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The RCMP collision analyst was on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
