Morinville RCMP are looking for the occupants of a blue Dodge truck who were pointing what looked like long-barreled guns out of the truck’s windows on April 14.
Police got the complaint around 6 p.m. that the occupants were going to shoot gophers and ducks in the Cardiff area. There are occupied houses, walking trails and a golf course in the area.
If someone were to shoot a gun in that area, it could result in a careless use of a firearm charge under the Criminal Code. There could also be offences under the Provincial Wildlife Act for shooting a gun from a vehicle and having a loaded firearm in the vehicle. Furthermore, there is right now no open season for duck hunting.
The truck is described as a newer blue single-cab Dodge pickup truck. Police would like to speak with the occupants.
