Morinville RCMP are looking to return several items stolen from cars in the Cardiff area overnight on Jan. 12 to Jan. 13.
Police received two complaints of an intoxicated man on the morning of Jan. 13, and when he was arrested they found him in possession of several stolen items. They learned he had broken into 10 or more vehicles and stolen items from them.
Stolen items include vehicle registration papers, money, personal documents and cellphones. The man, who police say is not from the area, has been charged with possession of stolen property but police are not releasing his name.
The Canada Post building in Legal was broken into on Jan. 11, and an unknown amount of mail was stolen.
Someone broke in through the rear delivery door of the building, located on Main Street, by prying the door open. There are no witnesses or suspects.
Police are reminding residents to regularly pick up mail and arrange for pickup if you will be away for an extended period of time.
Police are looking for help identifying a man who broke into mailboxes in the foyer of a Morinville apartment building on Jan. 7.
At around 11:45 p.m., a lone male was seen breaking into the mailboxes in a building on 103 Street. He is described as tall, wearing jeans and a white camouflage hoodie.
The suspect fled on foot after a witness spotted him, and got into a newer, dark-colour Jeep SUV. The vehicle went north on 103 Street.
Police are looking to identify a man who pepper-sprayed a bar employee in Legal in early December.
At about 1:50 a.m. on Dec. 4, a male employee of the bar arrived to close up the business for the night. When he arrived, he was pepper-sprayed in the face and sustained minor injuries.
The assailant had also attempted to break into the building, but nothing was stolen.
Police are describing the assailant as a man wearing a black balaclava, gloves and a dark-coloured winter jacket.
St. Albert RCMP officers are looking for the public’s help to identify two men who they say stole from a drugstore in late November.
On Nov. 26, two unknown men went into the Shopper’s Drug Mart on St. Albert Trail and stole more than $1,000 worth of electronics, includes two Xbox consoles, one HP 10-inch Tablet and one Magellan MiVue 538 Dash camera.
The first suspect is described as Caucasian, 30-40 years old, between five-foot-eight and six feet tall, medium build, and wearing black cargo pants, a black jacket, a grey hoodie and black toque.
The second suspected is described as Caucasian, 25-30 years old, also about five-foot-eight to six feet tall, medium build, long narrow face, short dark brown hair and wearing a down-filled black winter jacket with a fur trim hood.
