The Midget AAA Cardinals will be busy this week taking the field five times in five days at Legion Memorial Park. The eventful stretch starts on Wednesday, July 13 at 7 p.m. against the Spruce Grove White Sox.

The Midget AAA Cardinals will be busy this week taking the field five times in five days at Legion Memorial Park. The eventful stretch starts on Wednesday, July 13 at 7 p.m. against the Spruce Grove White Sox. The fifth place red birds will be meeting the third place White Sox for the third and final time this season. The visitors have won the previous two meetings.

On Thursday the Cardinals continue the march against the second place Edmonton Cardinals #1. The teams have previously met once this season where the Cardinals won by a narrow 4-3. The teams meet on Thursday, June 14 at Legion Memorial Park at 7 p.m.

After taking a break on Friday, the home team hosts a three game series against the fourth place Calgary Rockies. The action begins with a doubleheader on Saturday, July 16. The first game starts at noon and the second game follows at 3 p.m. The series continues on Sunday, July 17 at 10 a.m. This will be the first and last time the teams meet during the regular season.

The St. Albert Stars will be hosting the Calgary Wolfpack this weekend at Riel Recreation Park. The fifth place Stars (3-2-0) will be hoping to pull a win against the last place Wolfpack (0-6-0) who will be searching for their first win of the season. This will be the only meeting of the teams during the regular season. Kickoff is Saturday, July 16 at 3 p.m. at Riel Recreation Park.

The St. Albert AC premier men (4-1-0) will be playing their mid-season game against the Calgary Canucks (3-2-0) on Saturday. It is likely to be a close game between the second place St. Albert squad and the third ranked Canucks. This is the first and only meeting between the teams during the regular season. The teams take the pitch Saturday, July 16 at 4 p.m. at the St. Albert Rugby Football Club.

The St. Albert Impact men’s premier squad is battling the Emerald Exports 1 on Thursday night. The Impact (7-4-1) will be fighting to stay at the top of the league against the second place Exports (6-2-3). The home team has 22 points thus far this season while the Exports are closing in with 21 points. This will be a rematch between the top teams after the Exports beat Impact earlier in the season. Kickoff is Thursday, July 14 at 8:15 p.m. at the Edmonton Soccer Association Complex 1.
