The St. Albert Senior B Miners are looking to pick up another win this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in the Go Auto Arena. The first place Miners (11-0-1) are facing off against the fifth place Beaumont Outlaws (3-8-0) in the second to last game of the regular season. The Miners are sitting just one point ahead of the second place Rockyview Knights and need another win to solidify a first place finish for the season. This will be the third faceoff between the teams this season with St. Albert coming out on top in their previous two meetings.
The Junior B Tier 1 Crude also head to the arena this Sunday afternoon in the last regular season game of the season. The fifth place Crude (3-13-0) will be battling the top team in the league in the final match-up of the season. The Crude have played the Sherwood Park Titans (13-3-0) twice already and have lost both meetings. The Crude will be ending their season in a game against the Sherwood Park Titans this Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Akinsdale Arena in St. Albert.
The St. Albert Impact Tier 4 Virk men’s team is up against the Fiji Youths on Tuesday night. The third place Impact team (5-4-0) is battling for precious points against the sixth place Fiji Youths (2-5-1). The home team is only two points away from jumping into second place in the standings. This will be the second meeting of the teams this season with the Fiji Youths stealing the win in the first match-up. The teams kick off on July 11 at 7 p.m. at Riel Recreation Park.
The Midget AAA Cardinals are hosting the Spruce Grove White Sox on Wednesday night at Legion Memorial Park. The Cardinals (14-7-0) are in seventh place and will challenge the second place White Sox (17-5-0). This is the third meeting of the teams this season with the visitors coming out on top in both of the previous games. The Cardinals are just two points away from jumping in to fifth place and a win this week could propel them up the standings. The teams take the field on July 13 at 7 p.m. at Legion Memorial Park.
