The aquatic feature at Servus Credit Union Place in east St. Albert closed early Friday.
The city said in a social media post an "unexpected maintenance issue" has closed the The Landrex Water Play Centre for the rest of the day. It was posted at 10:38 a.m.
"We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide an update as soon as possible," the post reads.
The Landrex pool closure follows a days-long shutdown of the pool at the Fountain Park Recreation Centre in the first week of November caused by a motor failure in the HVAC system.
Landrex itself was closed between Nov. 17 and 28 for scheduled maintenance.
