Incumbent Mayor Cathy Heron is leading the mayoral race in St. Albert after eight polling stations have reported.
Angela Wood was previously in the lead, but is now in second place with 4,748 votes, while Heron has 5,143 votes.
Bob Russell has 1,326 votes and David Letourneau has 1,821 votes.
As for council candidates, incumbent Sheena Hughes, incumbent Ken Mackay, newcomer Mike Killick, incumbent Wes Brodhead, newcomer Shelly Biermanski, and incumbent Natalie Joly are currently leading the pack for council seats.
Eight polling stations represent 66.7 per cent of the vote out of a total of 12 polling stations.
