GALLERY: Carnaval fun

Students from Sturgeon Heights and Ecole Father Jan celebrated French culture and heritage on Feb. 8, as the two schools each held a Bonhomme Carnaval. The K-9 students participated in events such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, parachute games and French dancing. And, as befitting Carnaval, maple syrup snow taffy played a prominent role in the festivities, keeping the students energized for their activities. This year's Carnaval was made even better by uncommonly mild weather, making it a great day to get outside and celebrate.
