With just two full weekends left before Christmas, there are plenty of festive things to do in St. Albert this weekend.

     1. Indoor Christmas Market at the Enjoy Centre

The organizers of the St. Albert Farmers' Market are back with a few Christmas Markets at the Enjoy Centre this year, with another market taking place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“With over 250 vendors per weekend, there’s a huge variety of products to choose from,” the event's website reads. “For Christmas gifts, you can find crafts, clothing, home décor, artwork, plants and a great selection of unique items to find for your loved ones.”

Those unable to make it to the market this weekend are in luck, as the market will return for one more day next Saturday.

Admission is free.

     2. Christmas Rockstory at the Arden Theatre

United States-based Q Productions will take over the Arden Theatre in St. Albert on Saturday evening for Christmas-themed musical called A Christmas Rockstory that features acrobats, aerialists, and all sorts of circus performers.

St. Albert is one of many Canadian cities the troupe is performing in as part of a holiday season tour.

“With its unique blend of rock music, circus arts, and holiday spirit, "A Christmas Rockstory" is a show that promises to captivate audiences of all ages and leave them with a heartwarming and memorable experience,” the production companies website explains.

“It's a perfect celebration of the holiday season with a rockstar twist!”

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7:30 p.m., start at $65.97 for adults, and $33.18 for children, and can be purchased on the Arden Theatre's website.

     3. Stollery Children's Hospital holiday luncheon fundraiser

A luncheon fundraiser for the Stollery Children's Hospital Pediatric Transplant Family Camp is taking place on Sunday at the Kinsmen Banquet Centre in Riel Park.

The event will feature special appearances from a host of Disney characters, and a silent auction will also be taking place.

“Grab your princess, villain or super hero, purchase your tickets and get ready to celebrate the holiday season with a magical and delicious luncheon, silent auction and celebration with many of your favourite characters and super heroes [and] maybe even a villain or two,” the event's website explains.

More information about Pediatric Transplant Family Camp is available on the website as well, and the luncheon is set to go from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Tickets are $54.58 and can be purchased online.

     4. Family fun day at the Musée Héritage Museum

The Musée Héritage Museum in St. Albert Place is hosting a free family fun day on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Among other things, the event features an activity where a team is tasked with solving the mystery of “the theft of an important stone that powers the museum.”

Cookie decorating and other crafts will also be available, as well as two new recently unveiled galleries.

More information about the event can be found on the Museum's website.
