A 32-year-old Edmonton resident was charged with possession of stolen mail late last month after St. Albert RCMP were called to Erin Ridge after a complaint was received about a man in a U-Haul van throwing mail onto the road, RCMP say.
In the early morning hours of Sept. 30, an RCMP release says, “police responded to the area and located mail on the road with addresses from (the) Pineview and Erin Ridge sub-divisions.”
“St. Albert RCMP made patrols in the area and located the U-Haul van matching the description provided by the concerned citizen. RCMP members initiated a traffic stop and arrested the lone male driver of the U-Haul van without incident.”
As a result, RCMP officers have charged Kyle Horseman with possession of stolen mail, possession of identity documents, seven charges associated with breaching release conditions, and possession of a controlled substance, the release states.
Horseman was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on Oct. 16.
