The students at Bertha Kennedy School got a visit from Edmonton Oilers mascot Hunter on Dec. 13 thanks to a donation from a school parent through the Edmonton Oilers Foundation.

Hunter hung out with students, many of whom donned their own orange and blue jerseys and BK gear — the same orange and blue colours for the school — for the day.

Hunter visited each classroom, posed with students, and participated in some mischief. He also helped draw the winning ticket to the Maple Leafs' hockey game on Dec. 14, which the school raffled two tickets for to help raise funds for a new playground.

Students and staff alike were beyond excited to see Hunter. The school even made him an honorary Bertha Kennedy BobKat.
