As Calgary and region's largest Comprehensive Community College, we work with government, a network of partners, and community supports, to develop innovative adult education programs and services that equip people for lifelong learning and participation in Alberta's economy. We are working together to ensure our efforts complement community efforts, and to offer a range of locally-delivered services.
“At our regional campuses we work with the local businesses, individuals, and community leaders to identify the need for education and training in their communities and link them with educational programs and services,” says Anna Kae Todd, Vice President Academic and Chief Learning Officer.
Our learners can access educational opportunities through our flexible delivery options including classrooms and learning labs located in communities throughout Southern Alberta, online with eCampusAlberta, and through self-paced home study. In addition, each of our regional campuses has its own local offerings, including evening classes, workshops, Occupational Skills Training, high school upgrading, corporate training, and more.
At the Airdrie and High River campus, learners can take the four-semester, full-time Practical Nurse Diploma, which prepares graduates to provide high-quality nursing care in the areas of medical, surgical, pediatric, maternity, mental health and geriatric care. And at other regional campuses learners can also explore offerings such as Hospital Unit Clerk Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, Business Administration Diploma, professional development seminars, and a variety of continuing education classes.
