St. Albert city council is set to discuss the proposed solar farm Tuesday, less than a week after administration stated it is no longer supportive of the project.

The City of St. Albert released its agenda report on the solar farm on Wednesday, Aug. 31. The agenda report contains both the previous and updated solar farm capital charters, an administrative backgrounder, and the results of the city’s solar farm survey.

"Administration is recommending council not proceed with the solar farm," the city stated in its release Aug. 31.

The city released its agenda report for the Sept. 6 meeting, during which council will discuss the proposed solar farm project.

During their Aug. 29 meeting, city council voted to release the agenda report as early as possible, as opposed to on Friday at 3 p.m., as is the case with other council meeting agendas.

Members of the public who are interesting in addressing council during the meeting, which starts at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, can register to attend in person or online by emailing [email protected] before the council meeting begins, or sign up at the front door of the council chambers in St. Albert Place.
