Ballet Edmonton presents a night of seasonally inspired dance, music and song in Be Merry, running at the Varscona Theatre from Dec. 15-17.

Lifting everyone’s spirits are various musical talents including jazz pianist-composer Chris Andrew and vocalist Andrew MacDonald-Smith, as well as St. Albert homegrown talents cellist Ronda Metszies and violist Neda Yamach.

Metszies celebrates 19 years with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra (ESO) as a featured soloist. She currently serves as interim assistant principal cello.

Yamach was a member of the ESO’s violin section and Alberta Baroque Ensemble for a decade before lightening her load. At present, Yamach teaches privately and coaches youth and community orchestras including Edmonton Youth Orchestra and Wye String Ensemble.

Performances start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $15 to $40 and are available at www.balletedmonton.ca
