A third day has been set aside for the 70 Arlington Dr. public hearing.
The hearing into the affordable housing development proposed for a vacant parcel of land in Akinsdale continues March 23 at 5 p.m. A third day has also been set aside on Wednesday, March 24.
Habitat for Humanity Edmonton and Apollo Developments have proposed building a 58-unit townhouse complex on the site. The proposal has created a stir in the neighbourhood with concerns being raised about the density, parking, loss of green space, traffic, noise and crime.
The public hearing started last Monday, attracting more than 200 people to St. Albert Place. More than 60 people have registered to address council on the subject, a number that could grow by next Tuesday.
