Feathers and boas were all the rage at the Art Gallery of St. Albert's 22nd annual Art Auction Saturday night as revelers embraced the Roarin' 20s theme Flappers and Fine Arts.
Patrons perused approximately 140 pieces of art, all up for sale either through silent auction or by purchasing works for a set price. A three-piece jazz ensemble added to the ambience of the Enjoy Centre as visitors snacked on mashed potatoes in martini glasses, drank Shirley Temples and watched clips of 1920s' silent films.
The art auction is biggest fundraiser of the year for the gallery with the proceeds helping to fund its community and outreach programs. The goal for this year's auction was $40,000.
