Dinner on stage
Ever notice how food and drink is a big part of most live theatre productions? Well, the Citadel Theatre is going one step further mixing edibles with entertainment.It is hosting a private meet and greet, concert and dinner with folk troubadour Martin Kerr. Both the music and four-course dinner will be served on the set of Once on Monday, Oct. 1.
Bistro Praha, known throughout the area for its European-styled cuisine, is creating and serving a Germanic-Austrian styled dinner paired with beverages from Wine and Beyond.
The main menu includes potato pancakes with sour cream, bacon beer cheese soup and classic Wiener Schnitzel plated with lemon and potato salad. Finishing the meal is a slice of comforting apple pie topped with fluffy whipped cream.

Prairie Gardens' farm dinners
One of Canadians’ favourite pastimes is eating outdoors, especially when the summer harvest is so tasty and abundant.Prairie Gardens and Adventure Tours in partnership with Range Road gourmet “farm to fork” dinners creates the ideal atmosphere at the Bon Accord location.
Chef Blair Lebsack and wine connoisseur Caitlin Fulton use the produce grown at Prairie Gardens and protein from neighbouring farms to create a five-course showcase of local food.
The “dazzle your taste buds” dinners are paired with selected B.C. wines and a local cocktail, and served on a community style long-table dinner.
The dinners are Wednesday, Aug. 22; Sunday, Aug. 26; Wednesday, Aug. 29 and Sunday, Sept. 9.
