Grand opening
There’s a new food shop opening on Shops at Boudreau on Bellerose Dr. and its grand opening is on Saturday, June 9.Sarah’s Kitchen, no relation to Ireland or Sacramento’s meal subscription service, is a cross between a deli and a butcher shop.
“We focus on providing high-end meat, all local free-range, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free,” said proprietor chef Sarah Radloff.
Sarah’s Kitchen also offers soups and sandwiches, assorted marinated vegetables, baked potatoes, meals and sides.
The Saturday launch will feature Radloff’s signature dishes. In addition special guest chef Jonathan Giovanni, winner of Chopped Canada Junior, drops by to share his trade secrets and cook a special dish from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Roots singer-songwriter Lucas Chiasson, who earned the title of Young Performer of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, drops by to sing a few acoustic sets.
The opening runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sarah’s Kitchen is in the location of the former Careit Urban Deli.

There are barbecue vendors and food trucks ready to satisfy all food cravings and a food stage where foodies can learn the best barbecue techniques.
And there’s the fun of watching 50 teams from across Canada compete in a Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned competition.
Porkapalooza runs Saturday, June 16 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
